The other day I was looking for some plumbing supplies in my storage shed and I found an old computer that died on me in 2008.
I pulled it out and removed the hard drive. I have equipment now that will let me use the hard drive as a usb type drive, so I explored and found one of the first boards of rule the rail that I never got to finish because the death of my PC. This is a board made on the 1.4 system. This was just after I joined Littlevile on Feb the 29th(leap year day) of 2008. It still isn't finished but I thought that you might get a laugh from my beginnings. This is so far back that Dave had not even come up with the side rail control system most of us use today. I made a small video of part of it.
I also have a complete version of the layout for download but you have to use your own registration password # to get it registered so it will run.
If you have a board game loaded with nothing but the original models I also have the roa for download.
I called it Wisconsin Rail because of the trains I used. There are just three trains, one as a passenger shuttle one as a freight, and one as a tanker. The freight and the tanker are the ones to watch as they drop off cars and load up a new consist.
Game and layout download(you will need to register the game)
ROA file
Hope it will give you a laugh and maybe an Idea of what it was like playing with rtr 12 years ago.

Almost forgot. You will see a hot air balloon hovering over the board. If you move the balloon to the side you will find a small engine on a track the you can place the camera on to get a birds eye view of the board. We had not gotten Gnomes invisible turntable yet, and did not have a way to male the balloon an engine. We did what we could with what we had. Things have sure changed
