I an trying to make you (Santa and Sleigh) run on a track, along with a male deer from Neu.
I changed the Type from (MISC_TYPE) to (ENGINE_TYPE) and validate the xli file.
I placed the long track piece on the table. I selected the Santa and sleigh model (from the list) and placed the model on the track. I the placed a short track piece on the end of the track, I added a power to the the short piece of track. When I set the power to 10, the sleigh did not move.
This also happened to the male deer.
I have used this method for several other models and they worked quite well.
I can not supply the picture, indications the picture, indications are the image is to large.
Thanks
Leon d.
After some more experimenting I got the sleigh to run on the track, however it seem to be off center, to the right a bit.
The deer is aligned on the track, changing from MISC to ENGINE still is not moving.
I finally got the models to run on a track. I missed several entries in the xli file.
I added the Santa Noel from (Gnome) to my rtr directory.
I then mad a copy of the santa and santa layouts. I then replace the santa noel cars and engines with the sleigh and four DeerBucks.
The new layouts work with the santa sleigh and deer.

Here is what Ii have done to make the Deer Models. I hope you have the Nec collections.
----------- Deer By: Leon D
This collection was made to experiment the making santa sleigh pulled by four deer to run on a track.
This contains three deer, a doe, a fawn, and a buck. There are three versions of the buck in the xli file, one as a static model, one as an ENGINE type, and one as a CWAGON type.
This directory is part of (nec) collection
The textures are the originals
The xfile contain renamed files.
hirsch.x rename to DeerBuck.x reh.x renamed to DeerDoe.x rehkitx.x renamed to DeerFawn.x
The following are the entries for the Deer.xli file.
1017500 4
MISC_TYPE 14583 DeerDoe.X 0.13 Deer_Doe - - 0 0 1276792
MISC_TYPE 14584 DeerFawn.X 0.13 Deer_Fawn - - 0 0 1276792
MISC_TYPE 14585 DeerBuck.X 0.14 Deer_Buck - - 0 0 1415757
ENGINE_TYPE 14595 DeerBuck.X 0.20 Deer_Buck NOREF 1 18 0 1415757
CWAGON_TYPE 14596 DeerBuck.X 0.20 Deer_Buck NOREF 1 18 0 1415757

I have been playing around with either using Gnome's invisible Tracks or Ed Robinson (Panthersville) Road pieces) to cover the tracks, so one can have the sleigh run on snow and have trains running on visible tracks.
There are pros and con to each method.
(Invisible tracks)
cons:
This method applies to all tracks on the board.
(Road pieces)
Pros:
The layout could look impressive when finished.
Cons:
This method does not have provisions for using turnouts.
This requires on to make copy copies of the textures and recolor them, and make copies of the xfile replacing the texture you have created.
This could be a very tedious process to apply to an existing layout.
Any suggestions
Leon D.

Does anyone know how to find the Surface textures? The Blue light color is the texture I want to find. I would like to have this texture this where the white texture is. Leon D

Hi ALL! Can someone explain to Leond how to put a screenshot of the layout here? Of course, I know the procedure, but I don't know how to explain it to him - comprehensible explanations are not my strong point...

Yes, but the screenshot of the RTR layout must be saved in this format from your computer on some internet storage. Then you can put his URL here and he will appear here...

This is what I was trying to do. What is missing is the reins to connect the model. Leon D.

The effort paid off, the layout image is here. You won't get the deer/reindeer reins to the sled as they are not included in any of these models. What does the number 1 mean in the .xli file under the NOREF line?
