Hi all I have decided to return to RTR, as I have now returned to the UK. Things have been hectic over the last few months but things are sorted now and I look forward to a much quieter pace of life.
It looks like the forum has a problem with admin, leave this with me and I will send some emails off and see if I can get this sorted
I will keep you all informed
All the very best Stan

Hi Leon I am not looking that far ahead yet, my first mission is to sort out this forum, that is if they are going to allow me to take over. I have sent off a load of emails lets see what happens, we will just have to wait and see
I will probably start modeling again but not anytime soon, I have to get all my stuff together first
Thanks for getting in touch
Best Regards Stan

Hi Stan! Welcome back! The forum not only has a problem with the Admin, but also the fact that there is probably no modeler left who can make models of steam locomotives with animated chassis... 🚂😑

Hi Starfighter There is nothing I can do about modelers who can do animation, They have either given up modeling, retired or gone to a better place. We will just have to accept the fact that Rule The Rails is not as popular as it once was and those who use RTR will have to make the most of what we have.
Best Regards Stan

Hi Boots It’s good to hear from you. What’s going on with the forum , It appears it going down hill very rapidly,I have put a rescue plan together but It all depends on those who have controll. I have sent some emails off to those concerned but I have not as yet received any replies. Let’s just hope things work out for us.
Best Regards Stan

It's clear to me that you can't do anything about the model makers who left. I asked because I can't remember if you were able to make models of steam locomotives with animated undercarriage - it would be good to have at least someone here who can do that. Because what attracted the most to RTR were the new models of locomotives, especially the steam locomotives. It's also worth the frustration of new RTR fans - not much interesting going on here right now! Another reason is the postponement of the attempt to upgrade RTR to the new, more modern version promised by Dinotick, and the fading hope that it will ever happen again... And it is new and especially young, IT and model-savvy fans who could save the good old RTR...

Repainting some models & building on a board. It takes more time the older I get, but I have a lot of time as retired. - Boots127
