It seems to me that when they made RTR, they were most likely amateurs and I have alot of cleaning up to do for any old person such as you guys in this community to even read to begin with.

The BB team was really a group of amateurs, but they didn't lack enthusiasm and love for the railway... That's why there are so many bugs... If it was done by professional developers, it looked would now RTR at least like 3D Train Studio or Railway Easily! But there would not be so many different models, and if so, we would have to pay dearly for each of them...!

I asked user Pferdle about it (no longer active here, but still visits LVD occasionally) and he told me that in order to increase the 1500 model limit, RTR would have to be rewritten to 64 bit mode. - it seems to have something to do with memory loading, I don't really understand it, I'm not a programmer...

I can understand that. Before I had about 1495 models all the time & built large boards (38x5). I always built yards, so when I filled up a yard & had a lot of trees the program broke. It was impossible to move over the board. For now I have about 1370 models & use smaller boards (24x4). Instead I have many programs; RTR-EU, RTR-NS, RTR-CSXT, RTR-BNSF & RTR-UP. - Boots127

I hope it really works out! Maybe it would also attract back RTR members who are no longer active because nothing new is happening in RTR. Especially other modelers, but also programmers to help rewrite the game and fix its bugs or create new features, modern graphics and tricks... STARFIGHTER

More specifically, remove it completely and address it in the .xli files with Steam_Engine_Type, Diesel_Engine_Type, Electric_Engine_Type specifications.
Insert more types and number of smoke - for diesel locomotives one small gray one, for steam locomotives one large thick white smoke from the chimney and 2 small white ones on the sides, imitating steam.
Rails with more textures (white concrete sleepers for the main track corridor, wooden sleepers for local lines), more types of switches (modern automatic, old mechanical with a changer, tram switches). More types of traffic lights, the possibility of creating car tracks for the movement of cars on the roads - these are just a few things that came to mind, the possibilities are many!
