These are the most common problems people come across when trying to get RTR to run:
My RTR crashes/won't load up after installing models.
This is usually down to one of two things. The model hasn't been installed correctly or the XLI file hasn't been validated. Check that all the files and folders are in the correct locations, and using the Validation tool (http://www.mediafire.com/file/ontmzzl5mdd/X_Validator.zip/file) re-validate the xli file.
Models in the menu are locked.
This is down to an XLI not being properly validated. Use the validation tool and re-validate the XLI.
Game crashes when looking at object menus.
There is too much models installed. RTR has a limit of 1500 models to load, less if there are models that use a lot of resources.

You only can have 500 models of any one type, MISC_TYPE, HOUSE_TYPE, etc. If the model count for a type exceeds 500 you will not be a see or select models. Dale's xli checker will be a valuable tool.
