Note on the following models: Some textures are used universally for several models. I keep adjusting these with each new model. Therefore always overwrite these files so that you have the latest / current version of it. Textures from the original Brainbombers game are also used. If these are still there, they don't need to be replaced. In order to be able to build the trams quickly and easily, I am making a small compromise. I use the same pantographs, the same wheels, the same couplings etc. several times. So it is not always 100% original, but it makes it a lot easier. The tram can be used with both mine and Dave's overhead lines/cantary. First an old tram from Düsseldorf / Germany, built between 1949 and 1955. This type was found all over West Germany after the World War. Only the body / car body is new. The parts of old trams from before the war that were destroyed by the war were used as the chassis. This was done in almost all European countries in order to have operable vehicles again very quickly after the war. They all look very similar, so the tram can be used quite universally for all of Europe. I just made four color variations, everyone can look for something suitable. Red / white corresponds, for example, to the tram in Vienna / Austria. There is also a green and an orange work car and two small freight cars. Download from filehorst.de

Nice job on these trams. I've been thinking of making a city line with trams and these should go nicely.

Unfortunately, you cannot build real tram routes. The smallest track curve is still far too big to be used to build a road crossing. More trams are coming here too. I found two types of brill as a freeare-texture at MSTS. I make a texture out of this, because MSTS also has the entire interior. There are 6 textures for a tram. But you only need the outside with Rtr. This makes the texture smaller, saves resources, I get everything on one texture (plus one texture for ltex). I converted the textures in 5 minutes. But I have to build the model myself. MSTS is not that easy to convert. This will be a Brill from around 1900 and one from 1925. I have several textures for each tram. There are then all of them, everyone can look for something at will.

Next tram - a Brill from around 1910. If you look closely, you can see that I'm making it easy for myself again Some parts of the Ringhoffer were simply taken over. The textures are all from MSTS. I only made the last one (Pacific Electric) myself, there will be another matching car later. Officially, Pacific never had this Brill, but this way you have two different vehicles for one city. There are a total of 10 trams in the package. Download filehorst.de

And another US tram - the Pacific Electric "Hollywood Car" As the name suggests, the cars drove in Los Angeles on routes to through Hoolywood and Beverly Hills. Built between 1922 and 1924 by Brill and St Louis Car Coompany, a total of 160 pieces. Originally with 28mph, from 1940 with new motors then 45mph. Tram Number 637 and 655 today exist and running in LA. Last foto from dead end in 1960. If you compare the tram with today's, there was already everything that is still used today: -Large capacity car (inside no partition walls or doors) -low interior floor -Seat rows (in Europe there were only two wooden benches on the longest sides until 1940) -Originally with a conductor (entry in the middle), later one-man operation (ticket from the driver, entry only at the front, exit only in the middle) -Automatic coupling including electrical connection, several trolleys can be operated by one person - Doors can only be opened / closed by the driver -If you want to get out, you had to ring the bell, otherwise the car continued without stopping There are one Pacific Electric-Car and two fictive green cars (goes well with two green Brill built above). Textures have changed from MSTS, the car is self-builded. Download filehorst.de

Unfortunately, you cannot build real tram routes. The smallest track curve is still far too big to be used to build a road crossing. Actually, I have built two tram layouts, with a bit of cheating. It's true that you can't make turns at street intersections. So for my layout, one end of the line does its turnaround around the service and yard area while the other end of the line loops around a lake. The rest of the line is (mostly) straight and parallels the main road.

Can you insert pictures of your tram layout here? I would like to see that!

Here are a couple of photos from one of my tram layouts. The first photo shows the light rail approaching a station near the hospital while the second is an overview of the transit hub.

My second tram layout is a 14x1 map where the tram makes a loop at each end.
One end goes around the yard/industrial area and the other is hidden in a tunnel as it goes around a lake.
Here are a couple of shots at points along the tram's route as it parallels the main road.

Dale Could you post the ROA file? With some patience and time, the layout could be created. Another option would be to post a skeleton layout.
Thanks Leon D
