Is there a 32-bit version of the game? Maybe thatβll solve the problem. That's all there is. The game is a 32-bit app. I don't believe they ever ported it to 64-bit. Windows 10 still runs 32-bit apps even though it is a 64-bit OS.
What happens if you delete one model? 1500 total is the limit for models but that might mean 0 to 1499 (geek speak).
I have 8 Gigabytes of RAM on my new computer. I wonder if that much RAM has any effect to my game.

I'm not a programmer or IT specialist, but I assume that the small amount of RAM on old computers could cause the game to 'freeze'. Large RAM on a new computer should not cause any problems, on the contrary, the game should run very fast ... The problem will be elsewhere - maybe an inappropriate graphics card driver, maybe many models over a specified number... What is your computer resolution? If too high (FullHD, 4K), the problem may be there - RTR is an old game, at high resolution the game may display objects incorrectly...

No, the amount of RAM doesn't affect the program, unless it is not enough. 8 GB ram is fine; I run RtR! (occasionally) with Windows 10 and 16 GB RAM.
It shouldn't make a difference but have you tried running it in Windows 7 Compatibility mode?

I had a simelar issue, it was too much models installed. What I did to find the issue was remove one .xli file at a time (copy and paste to destktop so i didn't lose it) and try reloading until the issue was found. It could be a corrupt X file which using this method would flush it out.

Hi all. I got a brand new computer for Christmas a couple of days ago with 8 Gigabytes of memory and when I try to play RtR! on that new computer, some of the models in the selection feature stops showing and when you select it, the model does not show on the layout. It is a VERY annoying issue. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? Hey, everyone. I got a new computer for Christmas yesterday and I tested RtR! on my new computer and it works perfectly without any issues. The computer I had previously had AMD Graphics and the new computer I have now has Intel Graphics. So, I would think the AMD Graphics was causing the model selection problem. Just letting you guys know about this!

Personally, I doubt it - in my opinion, the error was somewhere in the installation or a bad driver, the processors or graphics card have nothing to do with it...
