Hi all. I got a brand new computer for Christmas a couple of days ago with 8 Gigabytes of memory and when I try to play RtR! on that new computer, some of the models in the selection feature stops showing and when you select it, the model does not show on the layout. It is a VERY annoying issue. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

Do you have X File Validator?

Be sure to check out the startlog.txt file and search for Warning and Error. Try running my XLI Checker (available elsewhere on this forum) and see if it shows up any errors.

What operating system do you have now? Try right-clicking the rtr.exe file and running the Compatibility Troubleshooter.

I have Windows 10 with 8 GB of memory. What it is actually doing is that when I put locomotives or cars on the tracks on my layout, I scroll up and down and all of the models in the selection feature disappear. It is so annoying!

I have never encountered such a problem... Do you have Windows 10 Home or Pro? Version 32 or 64?

My computer is Windows 10 Home 64-bit. My computer has Windows 10 Pro version 32 and RTR runs smoothly. RTR is an old game, maybe version 64 problems?

If there is something wrong in the RTR, I find a problem in the startlog.txt file by searching for the words 'wrong, error'. An overview of the parameters of your RTR settings will not help me, I do not know these parameters myself, contact someone more experienced... STARFIGHTER

Is there a 32-bit version of the game? Maybe thatβll solve the problem. That's all there is. The game is a 32-bit app. I don't believe they ever ported it to 64-bit. Windows 10 still runs 32-bit apps even though it is a 64-bit OS.
What happens if you delete one model? 1500 total is the limit for models but that might mean 0 to 1499 (geek speak).
